Investors in People
Developed in 1990 by a partnership of leading businesses and national organisations, the Investors in People Standard helps organisations to improve performance and realise objectives through the management and development of their people. Since it was developed, the Standard has been reviewed every three years to ensure that it remains relevant.
The Standard is based on three key principles:
Plan - Developing strategies to improve the performance of the organisation.
Do - Taking action to improve the performance of the organisation.
Review - Evaluating the impact on the performance of the organisation.
Not Just Cleaning were first recognised as an Investor in People in November 2005 and were successfully reviewed in November 2008.
Extracts from the Assessment Report
“The Assessor's report shows that the management of Not Just Cleaning are committed to developing and training people. People are positive about their managers and feel valued and respected; they are not just cleaners.”
“People understand their impact and how to improve their performance, also how their performance impacts on the achievement of the organisation’s goals. They encourage each other to improve and work alongside mentoring in an informal way. There is regular and constructive feedback, which helps the workforce improve.”
