Training and development

NJC are committed to providing all our people with the skills and knowledge necessary to meet current and future objectives. Our employees develop in an environment that encourages the achievement of high standards, improved productivity and customer service.

All managers have the responsibility to identify the training needs of their team members to ensure they are trained and developed to achieve individual goals, targets and objectives and those of the company. We prepare an annual training plan based on departmental training plans from individual Directors and Managers. The plan sets out internal and external training courses as well as the on-job training required. We make sure that resources are found of time and money in order to carry out the training and development identified in the plan.

We know that well trained operatives are of paramount importance. They are essential for consistently high standards and compliance with health and safety, security, fire precautions and other site rules. It is also very important for Managers to motivate their teams to get the best from them and to increase staff retention.

AMONET training records

The online AMONET system is used to manage and control role specific employee training. Every role within the company demands specific training requirements and records.

When an employee is assigned that role, the system shows that specific training documents are required for that person. The system provides complete transparency of operative training, giving peace of mind to our customers.

The system also acts as an internal control mechanism, to ensure that all our operatives have undergone the appropriate training required to carry out their role successfully.
